Role Description

We’re looking for an analytical Content Strategist, who is hands-on and digitally savvy to be our voice and generate content across mediums. Thrive as a lead publisher writing thoughtful product and marketing email campaigns, optimizing the CRM, running multi-channel editorial such as the website and social media, and brand materials across the system. Adhere and refine our voice & tone to drive ever more engaging copy, writing that is clear, consistent and forward thinking. You can expect to be fully immersed with the development of Zonda, industry’s leading homebuilder analytics tool. From owning support posts to designing new user flows and crafting release content, your expertise will be an integral skillset for the company. We’ll expand your knowledge around residential real estate, economics, technology and business. You’ll be supported with tools you need, working with an awesome and like-minded team. Responsibilities

  • Plan, write, edit, test, simplify, launch digital content for company, products and services
  • Publish daily events, articles, press, new hires, product releases and tips via email and social media
  • Manage the CRM, lists, set up automation, segmentation, and drip campaigns
  • Design, draft, edit and audit technical writing for B2B data and analytics application
  • Analyze quantitative data from analytics, optimize SEO, share achievements and recommendations
  • Run the editorial calendar, drive troubleshooting, templates, maintenance, and training
  • Lead special projects to develop and support content for reports, white papers and brochures
  • Upkeep marketing collateral, following established design and brand practices
  • Maintain brand voice and tone, screen all content for consistency, clarity and grammar
  • Build relationships across teams to facilitate trust and get buy-off from other disciplines
  • Participate in the company’s business strategy to evolve our vision

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience as a professional content strategist, manager or writer for web, mobile or software
  • With your resume, show in your portfolio samples you’ve written for user interfaces, microcopy, user education, direct or transactional emails, style guides or product launch content
  • Degree in English, Information Management, Journalism, Interaction Design, Creative Writing, Technical Writing
  • Fluency in content governance, lifecycles, workflow creation and content strategy best practices
  • Proficiency in content inventory and matrix development, taxonomy and metadata recommendations, content templates set-up, including personalization and intelligent content solutions
  • Show technical writer savvy, interact with data, tech and design team to gather product details
  • Practice of user-centered design, good taste, critical thinking and persistence for iteration
  • Experience working in Eventbrite, MailChimp/Pardot, Google Analytics and Salesforce
  • Ease of text editing in Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Keynote, PPT and Microsoft Suite
  • Adopt new processes and software, troubleshoot and tinker to refine tools
  • Practice independence, leadership, efficiency, attention to detail and getting things done
  • Excel in a growing enterprise organization juggling multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Real-estate industry knowledge is a plus

  1. What will one learn in this position? My favorite part about this new role is ownership of content across the board and creative challenges as we tackle nurturing campaigns and marketing automation. It’s an exciting step for the company as we have reached a fantastic publishing rhythm and a lot of valuable content is being published. We have enough momentum where it is exciting to alter the process to be more data driven and keep a pulse on what topics and interactions that resonate the most. 
  2. How is content valued here? We are very intentional with words and how we want people to feel when they experience our brand at different touchpoints. We go to great length to review content and unify work so even when there are different authors we have continuity.  Collaboration and unique expertise different roles bring to the table when we sit down to design or evolve something help bring a diversity of perspective. In our process, it’s typical to bubble tips and best practices as well document guidelines and templates to help everyone be a natural content champion.
